1. Genesis 18:6 reads, “And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.”
IV. Verse 23 and 26—“In the selfsame day”
B. There is just one instance of God saying to Abraham, “I will” after another. For most of these instances, the “I will” has to do with Abraham receiving the son and the inheritance.
1. Genesis 17:6 says, “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.”
A. Those words in verse 4 show the result of Abraham turning his eyes off of himself and to God. Those words (“As for me, behold”) are great.
